For generations, families in Bukabwa and Kome Island have been trapped by more than poverty—they’ve been bound by a belief that change is impossible;“You are powerless. You don’t have what you need to change your circumstances. You must rely on others to survive.” This mindset has stripped entire communities of dignity, hope, and the ability to dream or think beyond survival. Poverty isn’t just about a lack of resources—it’s about a lack of belief. At Twelve21 Global, we realized that true transformation isn’t just about providing education or resources—it’s about breaking the cycle of dependency and restoring hope.

Too many families in Tanzania have been conditioned to believe they lack control over their future and this belief has kept them bound in a lifestyle of hopelessness and poverty.

At Twelve21 Global, we believe that the transformation occurs when cultural mindsets are broken and people are set free—when they recognize their ability to create change, take ownership of their lives, and lead their families with confidence.

Our three-year Community Transformation Program is designed to empower families to use their God-given resources, skills, and talents to create a better future for themselves and their families. At the heart of this program is the same mission that drives everything we do: bringing the hope of Christ to spiritually dark and impoverished communities.

If mindsets don’t change, nothing else will. True transformation doesn’t just change circumstances—it changes lives.

Currently in our Community Transformation Program, parents are cultivating practical skills in community development, financial management, and sustainable agriculture. Through practical training, mentorship, and a shift in mindset, families in Bukabwa and Kome Island are learning to:

  • Steward what they already have instead of waiting for external help.
  • Overcome barriers by utilizing local resources.
  • Take ownership of their future through sustainable solutions.
  • Break free from generations of dependency and build a new legacy.

The three-year program launched in May 2024, and already had a massive impact on these communities. By 2026, we will reach more than 450 families, equipping them with skills, confidence, and renewed hope. This isn’t about short-term relief; it is about lasting community transformation.

Consider a one-time donation or yearly recurring gift of $85. This gift covers the cost of the program for one family for a year. With over 300 Families currently enrolled in our program, we know that your contribution is going to help make a lasting impact in the communities of Bukabwa and Kome Island!

In order to create generational transformation in these communities we must address the root mindsets that have kept them in bondage to poverty, and replace it with Truth.

We train each family how to take the resources, talents, and opportunities God has placed all around them and turn those into a small business and financial opportunities to provide for their families.

We know that ultimate freedom can only come through Christ. That is why spiritual support is a massive component of our Community Transformation Program. We center the program around courses that renew faith and strengthen communities.

We empower families with essential resources and habits needed to establish financial & spiritual freedom for themselves, their families, and future generations.
