We just got back from Tanzania, and it was incredible to see all that God did on this trip! One of my favorite stories is of these 10 guys. My translator and I met them while they were building a house one day, and we started joking around together. After a few minutes, I was able to share the gospel with them, and all 10 of them decided to place their faith in Jesus!
Before we prayed, I told them that if they were just repeating words after me, it meant nothing, but if they genuinely believed in their hearts that Jesus was Lord and asked Him to save them, He would. So the guys prayed right there where they were working, which was beautiful. My translator and I were PUMPED!
They asked us for Bibles, and we came back with 14. On the way back, we were able to share 1 with a guy named Sasi and another with a mom named Christina ~ both believers but who had never had their own bibles.
When we returned with 12 bibles, 2 more guys showed up at the worksite, and the 10 shared with the 2. Those two also decided to believe right there and the 10 laid hands on them as we prayed together again.
Throughout the week, we had several more cool interactions with those guys. They came to church for their first time on Sunday, and we were able to wash their feet. They invited us to play soccer with them, and we bonded over that. I also helped them make a few bricks! Seeing their newfound joy was incredible and made me just say, wow, God! You are so so good!
