What is Night of Celebration?

“Remember the wondrous works He has done…”

“Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy…”

“Do this in remembrance of me…”

Why do we celebrate?

In scripture, we see time and time again, God calls His people to remember. Through celebrations, extended time in prayer, and gatherings, God’s people were to remember. This action had a powerful purpose – to remind the people of the power of their God, the assurance of His promises, and the hope that is to come. The Passover was a celebration of God’s deliverance of His people in Egypt. The Feast of Booths was a time to remember the years spent in the wilderness before God led the people of Israel to the Promised Land. This theme carries on into the New Testament, as believers are called to remember Christ’s sacrifice on the cross through ordinances such as the Lord’s Supper.

The list goes on and on.

To forget our story is to forget our purpose. We see this in scripture when the Israelites turned away and chose to worship other gods. They did not teach the law to their children as commanded, and God’s people ceased to understand His great plan. When we remember our story, we are pointed back to the Author. This becomes an act of worship to the One who orchestrated a plan so precise and so perfect that He alone deserves all the praise.

“I will make known the Lord’s faithful love, and the Lord’s praiseworthy acts, because of all the
Lord has done for us…” Isaiah 63:7

Night of Celebration is an act of worship to our God as we remember all He has done for us.

We will pray.

We will praise.

We will remember.

We will look forward.

Will you join us as we celebrate together? This free, family-friendly event will take place in person in Dallas and will be live-streamed on our website. Bring your kids, bring your small groups, bring your neighbors, and join us for an evening of music, desserts, and stories of hope as we remember all the Lord has done for us and look forward to what we believe He will continue to do.
